You'll be surprised to discover just how many of Southbank's restaurants have deliciously unique desserts on offer that will no doubt satisfy those with an insatiable sweet tooth. If would like nothing more than to surround yourself with desserts for a morning start, then this is definitely the tour for you.

At each of the venues on the day, you’ll have the opportunity to talk to the people who work there. There will be an opportunity to sample at each of the venues and learn more about each dessert: their history, components, and production. Desserts have a long history of constant development as new techniques and ingredients became widely accessible. In the Middle Ages only the wealthy could afford desserts on special occasions as sugar was so expensive! Many ingredients that we include in modern day desserts were not actually initially intended to be made into desserts, but thank goodness they are now, otherwise we wouldn't have things like chocolate.

You will visit a number of venues around Southbank, with a sit-down break. There will be some walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the weather calls for it. The tour price includes all dessert tastings on the day. This tour is not dairy or gluten free.

It was good first time I have done a tour. The first place we went to did a tiramisu which there was a couple of us that did not like coffee and one lady was pregnant so that was Disappointing that nothing else was offered. The other three places it was lovely and the desserts where yummy.
